Topic: Overcoming the old man

Memory verse:Rom 6:6
  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Text:Rom.6:11
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Message:
The flesh is being referred to as the old man,because of its sinful nature.
Many people thought fasting and prayer is a way to overcome the old man,but its not so; God has made the provision already through Jesus that's why he died on the cross,so handing over your life to Jesus is what gives you the victory over the old man and your being conscience of whom you are in christ.

Note:
If you have not given your life to Jesus or you did it religiously you don't have this victory until you are genuinely born again.

Prayer:
Lord help me to walk in the victory you have given me over sin in Jesus name.
