THE WORK,FOR MEN OR BOYS?

Text: Judges 8:20-21
   Turning to Jether, his oldest son, he said, “Kill them!” But Jether did not draw his sword, because he was only a boy and was afraid.
21.  Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Come, do it yourself. ‘As is the man, so is his strength.’” So Gideon stepped forward and killed them, and took the ornaments off their camels’ necks.


Message:
  Some tasks are not for boys but for men,likewise character distinguished men from boys.Men and boys in this context is not define by age but by act and attitude.
1. Men are strong and matured not moved by material things while boys are immature and run after material things.

2. Men can think deep and make right decisions while boys no matter their age are always depending on parents or others even as fathers they will still need help on basic and simple issues.

3. Men are bold even in challenges but boys are fearful,always afraid of every small issue.

4. Men can fight in prayers on their kneels while boys can't pray,they always look for pastor or leaders to pray for them in times of trouble.

5. Men know when to ask and when not to ask for help while boys will always ask even when they are able to do the task,because they are foolish in thinking.

6. Men are ashamed to beg for things while begging is the act of the boys.

7. Men are not moved by half naked ladies outside while boys can't control their emotion when faced with such.

8. Men are spiritual people while boys are canal,no matter how long they spend in the church they can't mature.

9. Men are fathers,husbands,administrators,planners,providers,pilots,lovers,disciplinerians etc while boys are Eaters,consumers,lazy,can't control their appetite, want others to provide for them,stupid in thinking etc.
   If you have men as friend, worker or husband you will enjoy them because they ask few questions and are very smart but boys ask too many questions and are very slow and sluggish.

Oh Lord help me and deliver me from the mindset and spirit of the boys in Jesus name.
