EFFICACY OF HOPE PT.1

Memorize : Rom.5:5a
And this hope will not lead to disappointment

MESSAGE:
A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain things to happen.
Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcome related to event and circumstances in one's life or the word at large. Psalm 39:7 ( But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you)
Synonyms For Hope     Expectance; to wait, to long for, anticipation, expectation, aspiration, desire, future, coming.
The bible describes what hope means, and says what it is there for. God's followers are hoping for God's will be done on earth as in heaven. Or, said another way, the Christian bus hoping for the function of what has already began, the full arrival of God's kingdom. We pin over hopes on the good of that kingdom.
Same way on every promise of God. We need to be hopeful, meaning we are expecting the promise of God to be fulfilled.
Isaiah 51:1 NLT- listen to me, all who see the Lord! Consider the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were mined.
Meaning: hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
What does hope mean to the Christian?
what is the Christian hope?
Biblical hope not only desires something good for the future; it expect to happen.
    Christian Definition of Hope?
Hope is essential to the believer for joy, so it's critical to have.
Hope is not a feeling or an emotion. Hope is the knowledge of facts act. e.g, if someone says to you that I hope you have a good day, there is no guarantee that the day will go well.
To have a biblical hope is to have a sure anchor of the soul, not hoping for rain because the forecast says that there is a 60% chance of rain and you hope that you get your garden watered.
That is not hope.... that is wishful thinking and it is utterly undependable and has no power to bring anything to pass.
      Christian Def Of Hope.
A Christian's definition of hope is far superior to that of the world. Instead of wishing or hoping for something to happen, a believer knows that their hope is solid, concrete evidence because it is grounded in the word of God and we know that God can not lie. Heb 6:18, Num 23:19.
The Christian has a hope that is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Heb11:1
It is a hope that is like faith.
Biblical Hope- Paul may give us the best example of home in Romans chapter 8. (Rom 8:31). We shall continue from here tomorrow.

NOTE:
Hope gives us joy as believers to move forward in life, since we know there is a better tomorrow, do you also hope for that better tomorrow?

PRAYER:
Oh Lord this my hope will not lead to disappointment in the name of Jesus.
