  Before we talk about why is it necessary to be mature in the spirit;Let first talk about Spiritual maturity;
    What is maturity? .  Let first check or apply it to the physical realm; Physical matuarity is when we have the  ability to handle issue in proper way, or do things in the right way; people will the man handled the issue with maturity.
1cor 13:11;When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
The fact here is that a child has his/her own character
  Bible says but I grow up I behalf life a matured  matter how you beat a child he/she can't behave like an adult, Impossible! !
Let see fact about spiritual maturity;
1. James 1:4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
If anyone is going be considered to be matured in the spirit, he/she must has persevered alot and without misbehaving
Therefore if any christian can't endure what he/she is passing through is because such is not matured.  So you cannot do anything to make him mature
Listen to the facts about maturity;
1. Spiritual maturity is not impacted
2. Spiritual maturity is not learnt
3. It is not given; but it is developed
So christian living is to endure things on the way,so that we can fully grow up to measure up to the standard of God
    It means there are some message that the immature can not hear,because they can't understand it.

What does it mean to be matured?
1. To be matured means to desire the spiritual food that can make you grow
  Many children we will have to force them to eat
With the fact that the food will help them develop and not you that you're forcing,yet they will not appreciate you for it
They will even see you as enemy
If you are a Christian that they remained you before reading  bible you're a babe
If you read it only when you have problem or special fasting you're not matured

    A matured Christian seeks the word of God as daily food
2. If you don't have reason for what you believe in or your believe and is not scriptural
Ephesians 4:13  until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
We have to reach a unity in  If we didn't reach the unity of faith;where by we all have same believe
So if anyone has another believe it may be because of immaturity
What you stand for as a Christian have reason for it,don't do it because people are doing it.
There so many Christians that they don't know why they should not do what the unbelievers are doing so then people challenge them they just fall for anything
