BECOME MATURED IN THE SPIRIT

TEXT: Heb 6:1
   Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,

Memorize: Luke 8:15
   But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop

Message :
    When you look at the scriptures is started with let us move beyound the elementary level,The word is a command, meaning growing into maturity is a command  not if you like it,many Christians think if they attend special or regular program they are helping the pastor ;Big lie you're only helping your life
   I told us last week that some children you have to force them to eat but you can't force the children to walk, Meaning if we force you to read bible we can't force you to understand that is why immature christian are many in the church; people are not ready ,interested and willing to grow up Do you know why?
  Because childhood or immaturity stage is very convenient to stay; You can give reason for every mistake you make,reason why you can't attend service, reason why you can't fast e.t.c
   Bible says therefore leave the elementary level,meaning if you must become matured you need to decide  and must take responsibility for your growth;many Christians has given the work to their parents  To help them grow in faith, Some they gave it there pastors, Some gave it to their husband
While the most terrible part is those that gave it to their wife to help them grow. No one can ever help you to grow,it is your responsibility and you must be willing and ready to take it
  Let begin to look at these responsibilities we need to take about our spiritual maturity;
1. Responsibility of studying the scriptures:We read the Bible to grow spiritually, to commune with God, to have personal relationship with God
As an adult we take a good plan for our feeding,the food we will eat in the morning would have have been known in the night The same way God want us to take a delibrate responsibility in feeding on the word of God.

Note:
   If you don't take responsibility on your for growth you will never be responsible.

Prayer:
   Oh Lord I receive grace and strengthens to be committed to my spiritual life in Jesus name.
