Sharpen your sword PT. 1

Text: 1sam 13:19-20
Not a blacksmith could be found in the whole land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears!”
So all Israel went down to the Philistines to have their plow points, mattocks, axes and sickles sharpened.

Memorize: Ecclesiastes 10:10
If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.

Message:
The old testament is not our basis to walk with but it has the codes of life which we should learn from, and we can't be complet without its knowledge.

There was a time when blacksmith could not be found in Isreal, meaning if war comes no sharpened weapon could be used and it means they are helpless in times of war; belief me every child of God has their time of attack but if you don't have a well sharpened weapon many  be a victim.

When a child of God doesn't have the right words each time he faces the devil, when he could not cut through the device of the enemy then such child of God has unsharpened weapon.
When Jesus was tempted by the devil he uses this weapon and it was very sharp in his hands,so the devil could not withstand it; when a child of God or minister's sword is not sharpened then such will have to cry and shout when addressing  evil spirit, all we need to make our sword sharpened is to be fervent in the spirit.

Note:
Noise is not equal to power, when the sword is not sharpened then you must use force, but when your weapon is well sharpened you will stress free life.

Prayer:
1. Oh Lord sharpen my weapon in Jesus name.
2. Oh Lord renew and empower your words in my mouth
3. Every tool or weapon  dulling my sword be destroyed in Jesus name.
