Text: Mark 10: 47-48
When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
“Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Memorize: Mark 10:51
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “My rabbi,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”
Message:
Bartimaeus is an example of a disperate man of faith,he heard Jesus passing so he cried out for help which every normal man that needs help will do, but yet their is something special and different about his request which many youth of our generation will not ask;
Jesus gave him an opportunity or an open check to ask for what he want him to do, but this man said 'That I may see'.... The greatest request a man can ask is that which will affect his sight,because a man may be educated but if he can't see either physical or spiritually then such is useless to his generation.
If you are given the grace to ask Jesus what you want him to do,what will be your request?..... So your request shows the where your mind is...
Bartimaeus only asked Jesus that he may see....How I which that is the desire of everyone running after Jesus today; because we have many church members who just bread belivers, meaning they seek Jesus because they need bread only.
Whatever you receive apart from seeing (sight)such miracle is just temporary and will fade or end ,but seeing as a believer is the greatest thing that could happen to a man.
Are you seeing?
Note:
Many that are leading are not even seeing let alone of the members, that is evil in this generation, the generation that is blind but they don't belief they are blind.
Prayer:
1. Oh Lord open my eyes that I may see.
2. Deliver the church from blindness in Jesus name.
