Experiencing God's rest (Final part)

Text: Hebrew 4:10
   For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.

Memorize: Hebrew 4:11
  So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.

Message:
   No matter how spiritual or anointed a man is,if such disobeys God he will never enter his rest, riches and wealth may bring disaster if a man will not obey God.

    The angel that took Noah and his family out of Sodom in Gen 19, asked him to go to moutain hills, but Noah requested to go to the small village.  look at how his story went, this is a man that great grace located and speared when thousands of people died.

    If we disobey as isrealites did, we will fall! Heb.(4:11b).....Do you now see part of the reason many are falling from Grace? Disobedience!

               In what sense?
1. People disobey traffic rules(especially Nigerians),so they have accident and no rest until they recovers that is if he /she even recover at all.

2. People disobey the instructions of the doctors or others health personels;
      many are addict smokers and drunk, with all doctor and loved ones have said,they refused to change; Disobedience!  You will have yourself alone to blame when your liver, kidney or heart fails.

3. People disobey the nutritionist on what to eat and what not to eat. That is why many are eating what will kill them just because they have the money and can't obey simple instructions from others.

    I can't exhaust the area in which people disobey, I'm sure you know better than I do on this, but God says 'you can't have rest in life If you keep disobeying'(Paraphrased heb. 4:11)

   
Note:
   When you look very well into your life,Academics, marriage,carrer, business or ministry  you will discover that your present state/situation  is the result of your disobedience of the past.

Prayer:
1. Father! Deliver me from the spirit of disobedience in Jesus name.
2. Give me a heart that embraces instructions in Jesus name.
3 Help me to drop  lifestyle that can deprive me of rest in life, in Jesus name.
