THE CROSS PT. 2

Text:Mark 10:21
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Memorise: Hebrew 10:10
They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.

Message:
Two days ago we started this topic 'The cross' and we learnt that God created the cross for a very great purpose of our deliverance from sin and the devil, but today I have a message about the Cross to you because your journey as a Christian doesn't end at the Cross but just started.
Jesus said anyone that will follow me should sell all they have and give to the poor and take up the Cross and follow: selling what you have is not my focus today it's a misery to unfold another day, but He(Jesus) said take up the Cross and follow me' after your deliverance at the Cross you must take it up: meaning and implications :
1.  The Cross is the mark and sign of  your new life so it must not be left with carrying.
2. Christian lifestyle is not a free life but life of responsibility and burden for God, you can't do what others are doing and you can't live as they live Cross will not permit you unless you want to live without the Cross which is back sliding.
3. The Cross is heavy, which means if you carry it daily you can't sin.
Jesus realize these facts so He commanded the Cross should  be carried, any Christian that will not carry this may not end in the kingdom of God.
We shall see how the Cross should be carried and how to live as a Christian in the bread of life tomorrow edition.

Note:
The Kingdom is not for free living so called Christian but for the Christians that carries  The Cross daily.

Prayer:
I receive grace to carry the Cross in the name of Jesus.
