VISION KILLERS AND VISION PROMOTERS

Text: 1sam 3:7-10
  Samuel did not yet know the Lord because he had never had a message from the Lord before.

NLT:So the Lord called a third time, and once more Samuel got up and went to Eli. “Here I am. Did you call me?” Then Eli realized it was the Lord who was calling the boy.

NLT:So he said to Samuel, “Go and lie down again, and if someone calls again, say, ‘Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went back to bed.

NLT:And the Lord came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, “Speak, your servant is listening.”



Message:
  Bible says the Spirit speaks expressly;meaning God is speaking and giving vision in this generation just as HE started in the days of the Prophets, how were they able to receive visions from God?
1. They were committed to God and his work
2. While other youths in samuel's generation were busy playing and sinning around he was calm in the presence of God
3. He was attentive and ready to receive from God,so you must do by reading God's word and spiritual books.
          Vision killers
1. Lust: lust is a very powerful killer of vision,that was led to the destruction of Eli's children 1sam 2:22
2. They even went ahead to seduce women in the house of God, seduction is a killer
3. They also disobeyed their father,so also anyone that disobeys is killing his or her visions in life.
   Everyone especially youth needs to understand and work towards the promotion of  God's vision.

Note:
Visions are not from men but from God,so when and how to receive it is determined by God.

  Oh Lord opens my eyes to receive from you in Jesus name.
