INTRODUCTION: In the Journey of life faith is the only way to assess God and the only way to walk with him,Life can be difficult and cumbersome in the absence of faith so it's create an opportunity to make space and reality out of nothing.

             WHAT IS FAITH?
   Hebrew 11:1 The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. (Message)
     Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.(NLT)
    Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.(NIV)
  The above scriptures has made us to know that;
1 Faith is the  fundamental trust in God.
2. Faith makes life worth living
3. Faith is our Handle on what we don't see
4. Faith is the confidence in what we hope for.

        IMPORTANCE OF FAITH.
The first question in the heart of scholars is that why do we even have to have FAITH?; There are many reasons and importance of faith for the sake of our focus we shall limit it to the following;
1. Heb 11:6a NLT; And it is impossible to please God without faith.
2. He. 11:6b; Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
3.Eph 2:8 NIV; For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
   
     HOW CAN WE HAVE FAITH.
  The utmost desire of God is that we walk and grow in faith so that we can be like Him: The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.Col.1:15.
    Every human being has the capacity and ability to believe(faith)in what they want to believe in,which we don't need God's help again on this level:this can be called salvational faith;
   Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.1John.5:10.romance 10:10

        DIMENSIONS OF FAITH.
  We shall examine three levels of faith because of our focus,so that we can begin to live,grow and walk in faith.
1. Salvational faith; as discussed above.
2. Small faith or little faith.mat 16:18 Matt.6:30,
      If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
   When all you can plan on is what you have or what you can see then you have little or small faith;
   And, “But my righteous one will live by faith.(Heb.10:38). God wants us to grow beyond this level of faith, our thought and action must go beyond our physical environment because we are spiritual being and must see beyond the physical reaml and present situation.
3. Great faith.Luke 7:9,matt15:28
    Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.(Matt.15:28)

            SOURCES OF FAITH
  There are various sources by which man can acquire faith; just as education has different levels so we get different certificate from different academic institutions.
1. Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
   So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ(Romans10:17)
2. Faith comes by Consistent walk with God.
  And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb.(Romans 4:19)

3. Faith comes by the Holy Spirit .1cor 12:9
The same Spirit gives great faith to another.
