WHO IS A CHRISTIAN? PT.2

Topic: Who is a Christian?

INTRODUCTION :
   as we can't fully describe who a Christian is but bible a very care picture of whom christian should be: 1 John 3:7 Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous.

NLT:But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

          In the teaching.
    A Christian is the person that follows the teaching of Jesus completely.  It's mean a Christian is not:
1. A church goer
2. A religious person
3. An hypocritical
4. A sinner
5. Liar etc.
    Different kind of pictures we see outside today is annoying and frustrating, so many don't know how to recognise who a Christian is, since we all believe that a Christian is a person that follows the teaching of Jesus and live it. It means all we need to do is to know what the teachings of Jesus says and then we will know who a Christian is.

    Last week we started that a Christian is a child of God(But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.John1:12)
Ch.5:2 &3.
  and he began to teach them.
“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
    FIRSTLY a Christian is a person that sees himself to be poor in the spirit and need more of God always either is a bishop or an evangelist;  he does not see himself to be the best. Can you now see many unchristian pastors,Deacons, brothers and sisters we have around. Some thought all they need has been given by the church and they are the best , that is not a Christian character.

Point 2:
   Vs 5;  God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.
     A Christian is sincerely and unconditionally humble; meaning he does not humble before anyone because there is a richer person or more educated person around but because that is his nature. People say these days that there is class is Christiandom but is a complete falasy  because Jesus as the head of the church sat we sinner and tax collectors to eat; to be a Christian means to be humble and to be humble means to be classless. 
     Many of us don't mingle with uneducated people or unbelivers because we think we are christians and we should not not be disrespected. But I tell you that it nonsense!  Jesus had professional masters in education of his time (from University of heaven) but he recuited  many uneducated men into his ministry.  Can you see some churches that we say we don't speak yoruba or igbo here but pure English when many can't flow in English  just because they can't humble before the illiterates. Uhmmmm there is God  are you a Christian?

POINT 3.
  
    Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
    Christian will always be hungry for righteousness, are you?  A Christian will not allow an injustice around him or cheat anyone around.
    But we have some christian schools and organisations heads by born again christians  where teachers or workers are being cheated in the name of Christianity they can't talk, uhmm who is christian? ? 
    Vice visa some workers who are christians are the problems of the school or company, even they have been cut to embezle the company money yet they the name christian. Are they???
     A Christian will not rejoice in iniquity.
