THE IMITATORS

TEXT: 1 thess.1:5
   For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you.

MEMORISE: 1 thess.1:6
   so you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.

MESSAGE:
    The only factor that can make people to imitate the Lord and their spiritual leaders is when the gospel is being preached in the power of the HolySpirit and not in sweet words to make people happy, enough of theological display of knowledge alone or display of academical achievement in messages, these has made the gospel to lose the power to change people and make them run after the things of God. As a minister or a child of God, desire and strive to walk in the power of the HolySpirit;
1. By becoming an example in holiness
2. Example in the study of the word of God.my mentor said he eats the word of God not reading because the eating brings the power.
     On the other hands some christians wants to imitate their leaders but it only the dressing style, hair cut style and talking style they imitate but not the Spirit. It not wrong to imitate our spiritual leaders but it's not their dressing that matters,but their;
1. Prayer
2. Study
3. Giving
4. And The spirit in them.
   We should altogether be imitators of Christ.

NOTE:
   There was no power or anointing in how Elijah speaks or walks but their is dynamic power and anointing in his life by the way he prayed and seperated himself.

PRAYER:
   Oh Lord me worthy of imitation in the name of Jesus.
