Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.
Message:
Mostly we have turned the Christian love to if or when it's convenient but the scripture did not take it that way; if your enemies are hungry feed them,meaning. ....
1. We are not permitted to hate anyone
2. We are not permitted to show our true colour(Though our true colour should be christlike)
In doing this you overcome evil by doing good to all men and that is the way God wants things to be.
The Christian way of expressing love is not do good to believers alone or your church members, if you only do good to your church members then you are not a christian.
The evil in this country is increasing because we are not ready to overcome the evil with good,though is not easy but that is the word of God.
Someone stole your property and you start praying for his/her salvation and blessings people will think you are mad but it's the right Christian attitude.
Note:
Love can not be done in flesh therefore you need the help of the HolySpirit and let the word of God dwell in you richly.
Prayer:
Oh Lord help me to love those that hates me and those that did evil to me.
