TOPIC: WATCHING; A KEY TO SPIRITUAL AWAKENING PT.2
TEXT: Matthew 26:40
Jesus returned and he found the *disciples. They were sleeping. He said to Peter, ‘Simon, you are asleep! You could not stay awake with me for even one hour!
MESSAGE:
Jesus told Peter 'when you turn back to me,then make your brother strong', if all you are concerned with is your personal life and family you are not doing well, you need to make others strong as well, it may and will cost you alot of things and time but it's a mandate you must fulfil in defeating the kingdom of darkness because everyone needs an army.
Many people want a very bright future but they don't want to pay for it through obedience, prayer alone will not give you the desired future.
Jesus told Peter 'can't you just watch with me for an hour'. Meaning you need to train yourself on how to watch in place of prayer. Be a man/woman of the night watch, a lifestyle which every Christian must live.
NOTE:
Watching is not a gift, no one is born with that but it is developed as an individual create time to walk with God in prayer.
PRAYER:
I receive grace and personal discipline to inculcate the lifestyle of a watchman in Jesus name.
