    Now the Lord said to Abram, Go out from your country and from your family and from your father's house, into the land to which I will be your guide:

MESSAGE BY PASTOR BABATUNDE IDOWU

       Let us consider some responsibilities of a man as the head in a marriage.

A leader:

        This means man acting as an example for his wife and kids to follow. Leading and guiding his wife and kids to the Godly life style that he wants them to live, and he will be seen as their source of light and joy.

       Man is supposed to take a lead in solving challenges at home instead of a waiting for his wife to take initiative. In other way round, if it is woman that is taking lead instead of man, such a man has become a head ache for the woman. Although, at times wife may take lead because husband and wife are soul mate but husband takes largest percentage of the leading at home. In Gen. 12:1-4, God called Abram as the head of the family to lead his family out of his country to the Promised Land and supported by Sarai.

A protector and Guardian: 

     It is the responsibility of a man to protect his home physically and spiritually, and guarding against any threats to the things of the marriage value. When man fails to perform this responsibility, he will become head ache at home.

Note: 1 Sam.3:11-13, God sent message to Eli through Samuel to protect his children against the threat of destruction that is coming …‘and he restrained them not’ v 13b. When man fails to protect his family based on biblical standard especially in this jet world we are living, it is a serious head ache.

Prayer: 

   Oh Lord grant me wisdom for my responsibilities in Jesus name

   Grant my head(Spouse) the wisdom to lead in Jesus name.
