IN ADDITION TO YOUR FAITH. PT 1

TEXT: 2 Peter 1:5
   For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;

Memorize: 2 Peter 1:3
    His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

Message:
    The bible simply emphasis that our faith alone is not enough as christian but we also need to add some virtues to it; but two of them will emphasis today.the faith we talking about here is not the the one in heb.11 but our trust in Christ.  When we believe in Christ we started a journey is called faith so to this new life (faith) God wants us to add:
1: Goodness; goodness is the virtue of  been good and kind to people, because some people of faith are even more stingy than unbelievers and people are confused not knowing which,but the word of God says we should add goodness to our faith make it a responsibility to be good and help others even the unbelievers.
2.  Knowledge; after we add goodness then knowledge is also important many Christians only have faith but know nothing else about Jesus Christ and even about their faith; the knowledge of faith is what determines the power we have access to in Christ, many has knowledge of the Devil and even some churches teaches about what the devil can do but fail to teach more about our faith and the unlimited power of our God.
     Many makes the christian journey look as if is a struggle between two powers : the devil and the light but is not so: we are not in struggle with the devil because he is defeated already  when Jesus said it is finished; devil was finished on our behalf.  But you need to add knowledge of God to your faith so as to live in victory;  whatever you are passing through caused by the devil tell the situation that 'you're finished! !!!

Note:
   The right knowledge is in the word of God when you read from time to time you find the right word to make you knowledgeable.

Prayer:
   Oh Lord let your divine power give me all I need to have according to your promise in Jesus name.
