Topic: Overcoming the world series 2.

Text: 1John 2:16
    Because everything in the world, the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but of the world.

Memorise: 1John 5:5
     Who is able to overcome the world but the man who has faith that Jesus is the Son of God?

Message:
   One of the ways of overcoming the world is to start worshiping God in the spirit as I said in the first series, The fact remains that the world and her system is complicated and has penetrated into all churches and services; that is why we see a lot of abnormalities in church programmes.
        The person or people who can overcome the world is/are those who has faith in Jesus as the son of God,many believe in praying with the name of Jesus but not as son of God. Without faith there is no overcoming anything. ..

       Why is faith essential in this?;
1. Faith makes you live as walk as Jesus did not as your pastor did/doing.

2.  Faith makes you value what Jesus and dislike what he destates.

3. Because Jesus overcame the world so faith gave us the enablement to do as he did.
            Until you decide to hate the world and Spirit of God help you there is nothing like overcoming it......you can't overcome what you love.

      The Lord must help us to hate everything the world entails; fame,properity, fashion, styles, love of money, pride,materials things and  clothings...etc if you allow all these things to rule and control your desire then you are trapped. We must Learn to put our eyes from the luxury and pleasures that the world gives so that we can be  overcomers indeed.
     
Note:
      Nomatter how you spiritual your live for the worldly things such love will separate you from God, because no man can love God and the world as the same time.

Prayer:
     Lord ignite my genuine love and passion for God's and godly things in Jesus name.
